Description

The BA178M!!T and BA178M!!FP series are 3-pin, fixed positive output voltage regulators. These regulators are used to provide a stabilized output voltage from a fluctuating DC input voltage. There are 11 fixed output voltages, as follows : 5V, 6V, 7V, 8V, 9V, 10V, 12V, 15V, 18V, 20V, and 24V. The maximum current capacity is 0.5A for each of the above voltages.

Applications

The preferred method to connect PowerInfo 2 to the PC is through the USB port. Connect the USB cable from J1 on the PowerInfo 2 board to the USB port on the PC. The board is now powered through the USB connec- tion. Attach your battery to the TB1 connector and launch the Microchip development/test software on the PC.

Features

  The 17517 is a monolithic triple totem-pole-output power IC designed to be used in portable electronic applications to control small DC motors and solenoids. The 17517 can operate efficiently with supply voltages as low as 2.0 V to as high as 6.8 V. Its low RDS(ON) totem-pole output MOSFETs (0.46 Ω typical) can provide continuos drive currents of 1.0 A and handle peak currents up to 3.0 A. It is easily interfaced to low-cost MCUs via parallel 3.0 V- or 5.0 V- compatible logic. The device can be pulse width modulated (PWM-ed) at up to 200 kHz.
